Here's an Awesome Update for Paul Rudd, Marvel and Ant-Man fans! To celebrate filming beginning on Marvels next ambitious project, Ant-Man, they've released the first shot of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang!
The image gives us a feel for what Lang is like when we first meet him - down on his luck, rough around the edges sort. Lang will be teaming up with Michael Douglas' older Hank Pym - creator of the Pym particles that allow Lang to shrink to the size of an ant whilst keeping his normal strength - to take down Pym's shady employee Darren Cross aka "Yellowjacket" (in the comics, Yellowjacket is actually another costumed persona of Pym himself, who was a notorious schizophrenic and general head case - the more you know!).
What do you think? Does this whet your appetite for Ant-Man? Did Guardians of the Galaxy' success really open you up to the idea of another non-mainstream hero flick? Let us know in the comments below!
Here's an Awesome Update for Silent Hill, Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro fans! Announced via a "playable teaser", Silent Hills is the next installment in the popular horror franchise, and is being made by Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Solid) and filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro!
There's no real news on the full story of the game, though the playable teaser has you inside an "infinite loop" hallway that gets progressively creepier and scarier. Suffice it to say, playthroughs of the teaser have already whet peoples appetite for this next-gen installement. Oh, and if it wasn't enough that a new installment is coming, if it wasn't enough that not just Kojima, but Del Toro are the creative force behind the game, the "PT" reveals that none other than The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus will be playing a role in the game!
What do you think? Are you excited for another installment? Are you eager to see what Kojima and Del Toro do with the franchise? What about seeing Reedus in game? Let us know in the comments below!
Here's an Awesome Update for Marvel and Inhumans fans! According to Collider, Marvel have a first-draft script for an Inhumans film, and are moving ahead with it!
Joe Robert Cole, who came out of Marvels writing program much like Guardians of the Galaxy first draft writer Nicole Perlman, has penned the first draft, and it is assumed that in the same vein as Guardians, this draft will be used to entice in a unique Director who will then sharpen up the script and vision for the film.
After Guardians, it's no surprise that Marvel would be willing to take risks with some of their other more obscure properties, and the Inhumans are a perfect choice - we've already been introduced to the Kree through both Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Guardians of the Galaxy, and we've even had nods to genetic manipulation with the Coulson/Skye/Kree arc in AoS. Plus, now that Ronan has (SPOILERS!) been taken out, it would be a great time for the Inhumans to step forward and take control of the Kree Empire - perhaps setting up a "War of Kings" based story arc that could even introduce the Shi'ar Empire (assuming they aren't including in FOX's grab bag of characters under the X-Men brand).
If that's not enough, Vin Diesel teased earlier this week that he could be up for a part, saying on his facebook page that he gets "the strange feeling that Marvel thinks [he's] Inhuman... Haha". He could certainly embody the leader of the Inhumans, King Black Bolt, and it would be an amusing twist, considering his Guardians character, Groot is known for only saying three words, and Black Bolt is known for not talking at all.
What do you think? Do you want to see an Inhumans film? What storyline do you want them to base of? What about Vin Diesel as Black Bolt? Let us know in the comments below!

Here's an Awesome Update for Game of Thrones and Mary Shelley fans! An upcoming film, Mary Shelley's Monster, takes a look at the life of the famous 19th century author as she writes her most famous book, and Sophie Turner - who plays Sansa Stark on hit HBO show, Game of Thrones - has signed up for the lead role!
The film “tracks the young writer as she writes her seminal novel and is drawn into a Faustian bargain with her own ‘monster’ of an alter ego, who offers literary fame at a desperate personal cost,” and is written by Deborah Baxtrom, who already has experience with the subject matter having penned the show "Living With Frankenstein". Turner will star alongside Jeremy Irvine (War Horse) and Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story), who are playing Mary's husband, Peter Shelley, and Mary's step-sister, Claire Clarmont, respectively.
Rose Ganguzza, the film's Producer, described it as “the story of the most extraordinary 19th century teenage heroine told in a visceral, sexy, contemporary way. Our film is not a period drama. It is a story of youth that transcends time, a gothic romance, a love triangle that involves a dark passenger and we are tremendously excited to have such an exciting cast onboard this wonderful project.”
The film will be directed by Coky Giedroyc, who's credits include episodes of The Hour, The Killing and Penny Dreadful - the latter of which features Frankenstein and his creature among its characters.
What do you think? Are you excited to see Turner get such a big role? What are your hopes for the film? Let us know in the comments below!

Here's an Awesome Update for DC (and Marvel!) fans! The answer to the "Who's going to budge" question surrounding Batman vs Superman and Captain America 3 has finally been answered - and it's the World's Finest that have made the change!
This pseudo-stand-off over the 6th of May release date - one that Marvel have "traditionally" held - has been on-going for some time now, with both sides saying they wouldn't give; it was getting to the point where it genuinely looked like we'd have these two blockbusters open on the same day. In the end, though, DC were the ones to budge, switching to the much earlier 25th of March release date. If you think about it, it makes sense for DC; Marvel were in the strongest position of the two, not because Captain America 3 would out-sell Batman vs Superman (I'd be beyond amazed if it did), but because Marvel could afford to have a #2 film, yet DC could not afford for Cap to take a chunk out of its profits - which it most certainly would do, even if it didn't out-sell it. Plus, Marvel themselves have proved - with Captain America 2, no less - that a March/April release date can still make big numbers, and with this being BATMAN vs freakin' SUPERMAN, then it's definitely going to break the bank. All in all, it's a win-win scenario for both Marvel and DC!
On top of the announcement that BvS was moving it's release date, DC also released a list of release dates for DCCU films (though they didn't release the titles) that will launch after the already announced Justice League film. There are 9 in total, from 2016 through to 2020, which marks a huge increase in output from DC, who have been lagging behind their Marvel counterparts.
05 AUG 2016 23 JUN 2017 17 NOV 2017 23 MAR 2018 27 JUL 2018 05 APR 2019 14 JUN 2019 03 APR 2020 19 JUN 2020
What do you think? Are you excited to see DC pump out 2 films a year and really build their cinematic universe? Are you happy that BvS has shifted to March? Let us know in the comments below!
Here's an Awesome Update for Zelda fans! The upcoming Hyrule Warriors game - a Dynasty Warrior style spin-off from the main Legend of Zelda franchise - has officially announced another playable character: The Demon King Ganondorf!
For those that are (somehow) unaware, Ganon is, generally, the big bad guy of the franchise, appearing in multiple games and incarnations, much like the heroes of the story, Link and Zelda. He possesses the Tri-Force of Power (Link has Courage and Zelda has Wisdom) and is an incredibly formidable foe. In Hyrule Warriors, he'll be using Great Swords and dark magic attacks to brute force his way through enemies like the badass that he is!
What do you think? Are you excited to play Hyrule Warriors? Are you eager to take control of Ganondorf and carve your way through hordes of enemies? Let us know in the comments below!
Here's an Awesome Update for DC and Arrow fans! Yet another new superhero has been cast in the upcoming Season 3 of Arrow - Manhunter, a largely unknown character outside of comic fandom, but one who has ties to big things within the DC Universe!
David Cubitt (Medium) is set to take on the role of Mark Shaw, one of the many people who have made use of the Manhunter title in the comics. According to reports, this version of Shaw/Manhunter will be an A.R.G.U.S operative in Colto Maltese, who then bumps into Diggle. In the comics, Shaw was an ex-Attorney who became Manhunter after he grew frustrated at the ease with which criminals manipulated the justice system. Interestingly, Shaw has two big connections within the DC universe - the first is the Suicide Squad, whom he joined for one mission. Given the Suicide Squad has been solidly established already in the Arrow-verse, it will be interesting to see if Shaw joins up with them at some point.
The other big connection is one that is far more unlikely to be explored within the show, but one that would be mind-blowingly-awesome if they do - the Green Lantern Corps. Specifically, the Manhunter persona was given to him by a Manhunter cult, who turned out to be a "race" of robots created by the Guardians of Oa to police the universe. The Manhunters got a little out of control, however, and turned on their masters - who promptly defeated them and sent them into hiding. After this, the Guardians created the Green Lantern Corps. Will we see this link explored? As stated, it's unlikely - if only because of the budget requirements and how much wider a scope the show would have to take - but Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and Green Arrow DID have a very famous, very successful team up run for a number of years, and are very close friends in the comics, so who knows? All we know is that it would be awesome if they did!
What do you think? Are you excited to see more superheroes on the show? Who else would you like to see get some spotlight? Do you want them to introduce the GL Corps? Let us know in the comments below!
