Here's an Awesome Update for Netflix and DC fans! The subscription broadcast rights to upcoming origin/prequel-esque show, Gotham, have been snapped up by Netflix before the show even airs!
The deal, supposedly around the $1.75 million per episode mark, will see Gotham appear exclusively on the Netflix streaming service, and Season 1 will be available in the weeks leading up to the Season 2 premiere on FOX (should it be renewed). It's a gamble for Netflix to fork out so much on a show that hasn't even aired yet, but they obviously have faith in the product and the brand. The recently acquired the exclusive streaming rights for The Blacklist, at $2 million an episode, though that show has already had a strong first season.
What do you think? Are you happy to hear Gotham will be coming to Netflix? Do you agree with their gamble? Let us know in the comments below!
Here's an Awesome Update for Dwayne Johnson, Black Adam and DC fans! The popular action hero, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, has been confirmed as Black Adam - the arch nemesis of superhero Shazam!
After months of speculation, rumours and sly teases by Johnson, he finally took to Twitter to confirm his casting as the notable villain and sometimes anti-hero - and judging by his #AntiHero tag, the latter part will be a major factor. Given the star power of Johnson, it's unlikely that DC would hire him for a one-and-done villain role, so it's likely we'll see him initially appear as a villain/antagonist for Shazam, before moving more into the Anti-Hero - perhaps with his own film?
What do you think? Are you excited to see the Rock bring Black Adam to life? What do you want to see them do with the character? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
Here's an Awesome Update for Dominic Purcell and Flash fans! The Prison Break alum is set to join the cast of The Flash as Heat Wave, and will be teaming up on screen with his former co-star, Wentworth Miller!
Miller was cast a while back as Captain Cold, one of Flash's major nemesis', and the founder and leader of the Rogues, a team up of some of Flash's deadliest adversaries. Heat Wave was one of the major Rogues, as was Weather Wizard (who is in the pilot episode) and the likes of Mirror Master and Captain Boomerang - given the inclusions so far, it seems logical that the show will aim to create a Rogues team.
What do you think? Are you excited to see Purcell and Miller on screen together again? Do you want to see the Rogues in Flash, and if so, who do you want to flesh out the team on top of the three we already have? Let us know in the comments below!
Here's an Awesome Update for The Walking Dead fans! To whet your appetite for the upcoming Season 5 of the popular zombie show, AMC have released a teaser poster!
At the end of Season 4 - SPOILERS! - Rick and the crew were captured by another gang that controlled what was supposed to be a utopia like sanctuary from the Zombie Apocalypse; right before curtains, the crew geared up to break out and lay the smack down, and this poster sure seems to be continuing that theme.
What do you think? Are you excited for Season 5? What do you want to see happen? Let us know in the comments below!
Here's an Awesome Update for Pokemon and Tekken fans! The teams behind the two hugely popular franchises have teamed up to create the first ever Pokemon arcade fighting game!
The game is being worked on by Katsuhiro Harada and Masaaki Hoshino, the Lead Producers of Tekken and Soul Calibur, respectively, and will be released as an Arcade game in Japan - as of yet, there is no word on either a western release or a console port. The video itself gives very little away, opting to simply show off early footage of Lucario fighting Machamp - which looks impressive, but doesn't tell us much.
What do you think? Are you excited to see what they do with this? Do you want to see a console port and/or a western arcade release? Let us know in the comments below!

Last night marked the 66th Annual Emmy Awards and, unsurprisingly, Breaking Bad was the nights big winner receiving 4 awards including Outstanding Drama Series.
Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and Anna Gunn received Outstanding Lead Actor, Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress in a Drama Series awards, respectively, for their roles in Breaking Bad. Cranston's award was his fourth Emmy award, all of which he has won for the massively popular show that sees his character, Walter White - a terminally ill cancer patient - turn into a Meth Kingpin in order to leave something behind for his family after he's gone. Aaron Paul and Anna Gunn received their third and second Emmys, respectively, which they also won for Breaking Bad.
Sherlock stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman walked away with Outstanding Lead Actor and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for their roles in Sherlock: His Last Vow (Season 3, Episode 3) - an episode that also received the award for Oustanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special, and saw writer Steven Moffat receive his first Primetime Emmy.
Jim Parsons added another Emmy to his collection – bringing his total to four, plus a Golden Globe - all of which he has won for his role as Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory, which was recently renewed for a tenth season.
In light of the recent passing of Robin Williams, Billy Crystal led a tribute during the show to the late Oscar winning actor and beloved comedian, which you can watch below.

Here's an Awesome Update for Marvel, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Absorbing Man and Mockingbird fans! Big name supervillain, the Absorbing Man, and veteran superhero, Mockingbird have both been cast for Season 2 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D!
Brian Patrick Wade (Teen Wolf) will be playing Crusher Creel aka the Absorbing Man, who can take on the properties of anything he touches - and has proved a formidable villain in the comics, standing toe to toe with the likes of Thor and the Hulk; it will be interesting to see how Coulson's team of agents handle the situation, and whether the character will end up going on to become a major villain on the silver screen. Something else to note is that, in the comics, the Absorbing Man received his powers by drinking an elixir that had been laced with rare Asgardian ingredients by none other than the God of Mischief, Loki himself. It will be interesting to see if they play on this origin, tying the show even more firmly into the Thor/Asgardian side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, after several appearances and links in the first Season. Creel will appear in the premiere episode of the second Season.
On the side of good, Adrianne Palicki (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) will be playing Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird, a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent notable for her PhD in biology and her use of two batons that can be combined into a single bo staff for combat. Mockingbird served on several Avengers teams, her most notable affiliation being with the West Coast Avengers and her partnership with - and subsequent marriage to - Hawkeye; with that in mind, it will be interesting to see whether we'll get either a Hawkeye appearance on the show, Mockingbird graduating to the big screen or the relationship to be ignored within this universe (personally I want to see Hawkeye on the show, and eventually have Mockingbird "graduate" to the silver screen, even if only in small roles...but then, I'm kinda greedy).
The two castings add to an impressive list of new characters coming into Season 2, with Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess), Reed Diamond (Moneyball), Nick Blood (Trollied), Henry Simmons (NYPD Blue) and Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks) starring as Agent Isabell Hartley, Daniel Whitehall, Lance Hunter, Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie and Skye's father, respectively.
What do you think? Are you excited to see Agents expand it's horizons and cast? What do you want to see from the Absorbing Man and Mockingbird? What other characters do you want to see? Let us know in the comments below!
Here's an Awesome Update for Johnny Depp and Kevin Smith fans! Geek God Smith has joined forces with legendary actor Depp and each of their daughters to create Yoga Hosers, a shared universe story with Smith's upcoming Tusk!
The film will be an action-adventure (rather than a horror, as Tusk is) that will follow 15 year old Yoga nuts Colleen Collette (Lily-Rose Depp) and Colleen McKenzie (Harley Quinn Smith) as "an ancient evil rises from beneath Canada's crust and threatens their big invitation to a Grade 12 party". The two girls team up with legendary man-hunter Guy Lapointe (Johnny Depp) in a fight for their lives using "all seven Chakras, one Warrior Pose at a time".
The film will also feature returning "Tusk" cast,Michael Parks, Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, Ralph Garman and Harley Morenstein, as well as newcomers Tony Hale, Natasha Lyonne, Austin Butler, Adam Brody, Tyler Posey and Smith's partner in crime, Jason Mewes.

Here's an Awesome Update for Jungle Book, Andy Serkis, Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett fans! In a slew of high profile castings, Andy Serkis has acquired the voices of Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and more for his upcoming "Jungle Book: Origin" film!
Bale will be voicing the panther, Bagheera, while Blanchett's voice will be lent to the serpent, Kaa. Naomie Harris (Skyfall, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End) will voice female wolf Nisha, whilst Tom Hollander (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest), Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes) and Peter Mullen (Trainspotting) will be voicing Tabaqui (Shere Khan's underling), the wolf Vihan, and Akela, respectively. Benedict Cumberbatch was already on board to voice villainous tiger, Shere Khan, and Andy Serkis will be voicing the lovable bear, Baloo.
Jon Favreau's Jungle Book over at Disney already has a full cast, and the two are looking set to go head to head.
